Colombia February 2024: Toyota Corolla Cross best-seller in market off just -1.3%

The Colombian new vehicle market significantly slows down its fall in February at -1.3% to 15,612. The year-to-date tally is down -8.4% to 27,206. Toyota (+38.5%) goes completely against the market to post a splendid year-on-year gain and easily stay in first place with 17.2% share. Renault (-28.4%) skids but is up one spot on January to #2.

It distances Kia (+43.8%) in great shape while Chevrolet (-17.1%) drops to #4, its lowest ranking since last June. Ford (+57.1%), Nissan (+49%) and Mazda (+22.7%) also post fantastic lifts in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, notice Jetour (+145.2%) up to #24 and MG (+126.1%) up to #30.

Over in the models lane, the Toyota Corolla Cross (-2.7%) roughly matches the market and signs its third ever monthly win after February and May 2023. Leader last month, the Kia Picanto (+90.6%) falls to #2 but surges year-on-year. The Mazda CX-30 (+836%) posts a surreal gain on a particularly drab year-ago result and stays in third place. #1 over the Full Year 2023, the Renault Duster (-15.4%) falls to #4 both for the month and year-to-date. The Ford Escape (+431.9%), Toyota SW4 Fortuner (+133.6%) and Hilux (+118.4%) both manage outstanding gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
